Day 2

What a hot and challenging day. We got started just after 5 in the morning. It was cool and very enjoyable. We has breakfast in Hanover. They had a steam powered sawmill running.

From there we Nemaha. It is a town of 80. They put on a wonderful show..

Then we headed to Sac City and had a wonderful lunch put on at a church. We spoke with the older women who made the pies. The had to admit they make good pie. On the way out of town we saw the worlds largest popcorn ball.

Then the day turned...

The heat while on the asphalt was 115 degrees. We stopped at every tree to cool down. It really wasn't much fun. We left at about 5 and didn't finish until 3:30! We are now going to sleep and hoping for a cooler tomorrow!
